The German trade registration (GewA 1) is a PDF Snapfritz can prepare like any other form: detect fields, propose details it already knows, and let you review and sign. You file it with the municipality or through your city's online service. Snapfritz does not file it.

Use the municipality's PDF
Download the form from the office that handles it. Snapfritz does not supply an official form.

Check the details
Name, address and contact details can come from your profile. You write the description of the activity yourself.

Sign
If the form asks for a simple signature and not a qualified one, you can finish it in Snapfritz.

File it yourself
Some towns accept the PDF, others only an online application. Since 28 August 2026, gruenden.gov.de offers a combined application with tax registration. That is a different path, and Snapfritz does not replace it.

Limits
- Snapfritz reads the PDF you upload. It is not a government portal, it does not file the application, and it is not a partner of the body that issued the form.
- Whether this particular form can be read depends on the file. No specific official form is guaranteed.
- The AI detects fields. Deterministic code proposes values from your profile and from earlier confirmed answers. You confirm before anything is written into the PDF.
- The signature is a simple electronic signature (an image of your signature). Snapfritz does not produce qualified signatures or notarisation.
- Not legal or startup advice. Whether you must register, which office is responsible, and whether an online filing is mandatory is for the authority or an adviser.
Common questions
Does Snapfritz replace the combined filing on gruenden.gov.de?
No. You file online there where that service is offered. Snapfritz helps with the PDF version you submit yourself.
Is every city the same?
No. The form, the portal and what they accept differ. Upload the PDF from your office.
Does Snapfritz sign for the trade office?
After you confirm, it places the image of your signature. Whether the office accepts that is in the form or in their guidance.
