Sign a form electronically
Snapfritz places a simple electronic signature: the image of the signature you stored, where the form asks for it, and only after you have confirmed the fields. Whether that is enough for the recipient is in the form or in the law. Snapfritz does not decide that, and it does not produce a qualified signature.

How to do it
- 01
Store a signature
Draw it, type it, or upload a PNG/JPG. It stays in your account until you change or delete it.
- 02
Confirm the fields
Nothing is signed while fields are unconfirmed. If Snapfritz detects that the document needs a stronger signature, it refuses to sign. That detection is not complete.
- 03
Draw it into the PDF
The confirmed values and the signature image are written into the file. The event is in the account's log.
- 04
Pass it on yourself
You download the PDF. “Send” in the app does not transmit anything to the other party; it marks the document and opens 30 minutes in which you can revoke.
Fields
| Field | Meaning | Where the value comes from |
|---|---|---|
| Simple signature | The image of your signature, triggered by you. | Snapfritz, after you confirm |
| Advanced signature | Uniquely linked to the person and detectable if changed later. Snapfritz does not do this. | Not available |
| Qualified signature | With a qualified certificate. Required for some contracts and applications. | Not available. When detected as such, they are not signed |
| Log | Who confirmed, signed, marked sent, or revoked, and when. | The account's audit log |
Limits
- Snapfritz reads the PDF you upload. It is not a government portal, it does not file the application, and it is not a partner of the body that issued the form.
- Whether this particular form can be read depends on the file. No specific official form is guaranteed.
- The AI detects fields. Deterministic code proposes values from your profile and from earlier confirmed answers. You confirm before anything is written into the PDF.
- The signature is a simple electronic signature (an image of your signature). Snapfritz does not produce qualified signatures or notarisation.
- Not legal advice on written form. If a statute or the recipient requires a qualified signature or a wet-ink signature, Snapfritz is the wrong tool.
Common questions
Is the signature legally valid?
A simple electronic signature can be enough where no stricter form is required. You check that on the form or with an adviser. Snapfritz does not claim every recipient will accept it.
Can I revoke it?
For 30 minutes after you mark the document sent. Not after that, inside Snapfritz. The recipient has the PDF only if you sent it to them yourself.
Can the API or the MCP server sign?
The API only with the extra documents:sign scope, which is off by default. The MCP server does not sign; it returns a review link to a person.
